Two wheeled Curiosity

Adventure riding is two wheeled curiosity.

Adventure isn’t a place, a thing or an attitude but a way of making choices. It’s about being open to possibilities and chance, accepting risk and being prepared for outcomes you might not anticipate. To have an adventure with good friends is a bonding experience that will last a lifetime. My first solo trips were to find myself and then, to lose myself.

What can you expect? It’s going to be something different. Something you’ve not experienced before.

Touring eastern Oregon we will ride both twisty paved mountains, double track deserts, specacular canyons, natural hot springs, and the roads less traveled in between. Challenging but not impossible, pace entertaining but not exhausting. Your experience will be intimate with small groups of 6-7 riders, guided by myself and professional photographer and flat track racer Scott Rounds. We will explore together and learn along the way with lessons, exercises, and tips on technique so you walk away feeling like a more confident rider and more knowledgable adventurer.

Lodging will vary from local establishments and hotels to nights spent around the campfire eating a thoughtfully cooked meal over an open flame... even homemade pizza by yours truly. A 4x4 chase van will carry luggage keeping bikes light and making sure there’s a cooler of your favorite beverage at the end of the day.

It’s been a dream of mine to share my adventures with a small group of people who want to partake in the same sort of exploration as I do - open ended, curious and at a tempo that is both relaxed in miles yet spirited in pace and filled with variety.

Come prepared with your bike, new (dual sport) tires and adventurous spirit. The cost will be $5000 for the week all inclusive and this first trip will take place October 9-17 2021. Space is limited so get in touch now before it’s too late.

“Our trip remains the best moto journey I’ve ever been on. I try to incorporate things I learned and saw on that trip with every trip I do around these parts. It was a life changer for me!”

- Matt Neundorf, Vicarious Magazine

"I've ridden hundreds of miles criss-crossing Oregon on both dirt and pavement with Gregor and I can't think of anybody else I'd rather have as a ride leader. Which is why, when I was planning a ride from Seattle to Anchorage, I couldn't think of anybody else to join me on the adventure. Gregor is an adventure Renaissance Man who just so happens to be an excellent campfire chef to top it off. Best steak I ever had and it was over hot coals in the middle of the Yukon."

- Bryan Campbell, Gear Patrol

“Gregor is such a fun hang! I’ve been on two weeklong motorcycle adventures with him and I always feel like I’m in good hands. His knowledge of bikes and terrain are unsurpassed but the real surprise is his excellent cooking! He’s definitely the best guide you’ll find.”

-John Roderick, podcast host, musician

I’d done a number of other dual sport and dirt tours before doing an Oregon tour with Gregor a couple of years ago. Gregor is the complete tour guide: he can ride like the devil himself (and teach others); curate any and everything a group might want to experience; and as an award winning photographer, he can also memorialize the adventure in a way others can’t. After all, without pix, it never happened! I’m ecstatic to see Gregor turning a passion into a business and I look forward to our spring 2022 ride in eastern Oregon!
